Las Vegas, Baby!

We are leaving for Las Vegas in just a few weeks! We are excited to visit and be 110% tourists! We are meeting my in laws when we arrive, as they will be finishing up a trip from the Grand Canyon to Vegas.  All of us are staying at Treasure Island and will be taking a half day trip to the Hoover Dam during our visit.

We will only be there three full days, and half of one of those days will be outside of Vegas. What is there to do in Vegas other than walk around and see the sights? We won't be gambling a whole lot, and we might see a show. Otherwise, I'm really not sure how we'll spend our time. Most of all, I have no idea what to pack! What do I wear? First world problems, I know.

Anyway, if you've been to Vegas and have suggestions of what to pack, please let me know!! So far (other than the obvious things like undies), I have:
  • sunscreen
  • tennis shoes
  • hat
  • camera
Is it cold at night in Vegas in late May? Should I pack a bathing suit for the pool? I've heard it's very dry there, so I should pack lots of lotion/moisturizer. Packing for tropical vacations is so much easier than this...

Finally, what should we do and see while there?

Help!

  1. for vegas, you'll want some fun dressy clothes to wear out at night, some coins for the slots (they have the best returns!), definitely some bathing suits, and make plans to go see a show, or two. the different hotels are worth checking out as all the casinos are different. There are lions in the MGM and you should DEF make plans to see the fountains at the bellagio (http://www.bellagio.com/attractions/fountains-of-bellagio.aspx) it is so much fun! There's also a roller coaster on top of the Stratosphere if you're daring!
