Having Milo professionally groomed every six weeks get expensive, y'all. After watching lots of grooming videos, reading grooming how-to's and talking to a friend who grooms her dogs, I decided I could groom him myself.
We bought all the supplies this morning and came home to give it a try. He didn't really need a haircut, but I was eager to see how it would go. It went REALLY well!! He didn't enjoy his bath or being blown dry, but other than that, he stayed perfectly still while I clipped and snipped away. John had to help me with the blow dryer - he held the dryer while I brushed him out - I couldn't have done that part without him.
I am really happy with how this turned out. With practice, I think he'll look just as good as he did when being professionally groomed. Yay for Milo!
Your pup is so cute! And we have short hair dogs so they never have to be groomed thankfully.
ReplyDeleteMilo doesn't shed, so he has to be groomed. We'd rather give him haircuts than have him shed. Dogs are the best either way!
